Our history
The Joy of Connecting Kids was launched in 2023 by Kimberly Nicholson with a mission to bridge gaps for children in underserved communities. After seeing firsthand how lack of access to basic resources—like swim lessons, mentorship, and educational support—impacted children’s safety and confidence, Kimberly felt called to take action. This organization was born from a passion to create equal opportunities for all children to grow, learn, and thrive.
Our mission
To empower and uplift children from underserved communities by providing access to essential life skills, mentorship, educational resources, and safe recreational opportunities—helping every child feel connected, confident, and capable.
